Our Kashi Blend is a diverse grain bokashi. We hand-mix, ferment, and dry on our four-acre farm in Delta, Colorado. This specialty blend includes organic molasses, organic rice bran, organic camelina meal, organic wheat bran, organic insect frass, EM-1, and trace minerals. Post-fermentation: Powdered malted barley and biochar charged with high-nitrogen amino acids and Rootwise Mycrobe Complete.

Application Rate:
- As a top dress: For each square foot of growing space, add a third of a cup of pure bokashi every two weeks
- As a soil additive when building soil: Use 1/2 lb of bokashi for every 9 cubic feet of soil you’ll be building or re-amending
- As a compost accelerator: Sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons of bokashi atop your food waste in a bokashi composting set up every couple of inches of food waste that is accumulated.
Storage & Warnings:
- If you want to use bokashi to brew teas, we highly recommend you do not brew the tea for more than 12 hours for maximum microbe diversity.
- Store in a cool & dark place at room temperature, 68ºF to 86ºF (20ºC-30ºC) and out of direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Avoid contact with eyes or open wounds.

I have tried a few other bokashi brands at this point, and this seems to be the best quality thus far. I like the smell, which reminds me of fresh bread. I also like that it has various grains as well. Kinda makes me think it’s more like a sprouted seed product meets bokashi. I threw some on some soil that has plant life in it already, and I also threw some in a soil/green waste bin, and the bokashi already has some mycelium forming.

I had ordered bokashi from another company and was decent. I had found about about Growing Organic’s Kashi Blend through watching Build-a-Soil videos. You can tell as soon as you open the bag that this is quality stuff when you first put your hand through it, diverse grains, bit of biochar, etc.
It was only 2 day after top dressing and I noticed the mycelium already very apparent. The other brand I had took about 5 days or so before I even got to see a little mycelium form. I Will never buy any other bokashi by anyone else, ever! I want to start adding some to the cat’s liter box, heard its an excellent addition to cut down on odors.
The only problem that I have Kashi Blend is that I wish I had ordered 5 lbs instead of 2, and ill be needing more in a couple weeks and might run out. My next round will even be more amazing when I can put it directly in the soil. Anyone growing in soil not using this does not know what they are missing, definite game changer and another weapon in the arsenal of knowledge. Customer for Life!!
