“Wild-crafted” or “Organic” is the word used to describe plants that have been grown free of chemicals, toxins, herbicides, pesticides and genetic manipulation. As large corporations and money hungry companies have become increasingly greedy, these practices have become less popular with mainstream brands. This is because they require more diligent care and money by farmers.


When you grocery shop, aim to purchase brands that support organic practices. When you put your money into organic products and organic produce, you’re supporting those farmers who are doing the right thing for the greater good. Not only is this practice better for the planet, but it’s nutritionally better for you.

The primary threat of consuming plants that are not organic is that they introduce an exposure to pesticides. Pesticides and herbicides, though seen used for their effectiveness on crops to fend off insects and maximize the crop yield, pose a health threat.
